It was a cold crisp day on November 14, 1971 when over seventy Loyal Ladies attended an-
occasional Assembly of the Order of the Golden Circle which was convened at the Holiday Inn
Town, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for the purpose of establishing a State Grand Assembly by. the
instruction from the Sovereign Grand Commander, Leland D. French, 33°, of the United
Supreme Council, A.A.S.R. of Freemasonry Prince Hall Affiliation, Northern Jurisdiction, U.S.A.,Inc.

The meeting was opened with Loyal Lady Ruler Julia Roye of Philadelphia Assembly No.5 Order
of the Golden Circle presiding and assisted by the offi­cers and members of Philadelphia
Assembly No.5, Order of the Golden Circle. Loyal Ladies from Long Island Assembly No.3,
Philadelphia Assembly No.5, Pittsburgh Assembly No.6, Chester Assembly No. 30, Harrisburg
Assembly U.D., and Delaware Assembly No. 43 were present for this histori­cal meeting.
